Peace is more relevant in today’s time of insecurity and interdependence than ever before. And even more relevant is the process through which we tend to acquire peace. We spend most of our working hours at work. Hence organizations play a big role in shaping values of our society. If businesses take responsibility for the state of our planet, they can act consciously to improve the way we live now. The language of economics is one that is most commonly understood by the planet and therefore it is time for the business fraternity to think and act on the idea of peace – for it may be too late if we fail to realize right now that ‘The Business of Business is Peace’.
SOIL is privileged to have realized this urgency and is humbly playing its role as the initiator of conversations that bring about peace in Asia. To begin this collective journey towards a peaceful and prosperous Asia, SOIL presents the ‘Inspired Leadership Conference 2011' which will bring together more than 200 inspired citizens from various walks of life including leading Corporate firms, B-schools, Young citizens, Government representatives and the non profit sector to share their perspectives on the nature of peace, the process through which it can be acquired and the reasons we desire peace. SOIL is inviting spiritual and business leaders to share their thoughts on peace and we will also invite extraordinary citizens who have in their own special ways fought for this cause. We thereby look forward to understanding the relevance of peace to business and how each stakeholder can play a role in bringing about a ‘Peaceful and Prosperous Asia’.
Open Space Technology
You will be able to experience first-hand the delight of ‘Open Spaces’: a powerful process that begins by inviting a select group of individuals to convene around a topic that has heart and meaning for them. These individuals meet in a circle and one by one share what attracted them to the event. Some of them choose to write a topic or a question that matters most to them on a flip chart, share it with the circle and post it on a wall. Other participants then sign up for the topics closest to their heart. People are free to go from one group to the other during the day following the law of two feet! The insights and knowledge of each small group is shared through cyberspace with all participants after the conference.
Participate in Pre-Events and win cash prize upto Rs 55,000/- plus free entry passes for the conference.
The conference will commence on March 17th - 18th, 2011 at SOIL Campus from 9 A.M - 6 P.M.
