Pyramid Saimiras promoter and chariman banned by SEBI

Why is this stock up today??? SEBI has banned the promoters and the chairman, P.S. Saminathan from raising any money from the market. It should have taken tougher penalties as they have played with their own employees portion of shares....how can a company cheat its own employees???

SEBI has directed the company to buy back those shares from public who were alloted the shares meant to be issued only for their employees and then give those shares to Employees who applied to it.

If this is the case, hows the company goign to identify which are the shareholders who were alloted those shares and what if they have sold thos e shares to someone else???

Not right now Rags but if something more disturbing is revelaed in the invetigations further, then it may be cause of concern for all shareholders. Currently it doesnt pose a threat to the shareholders as the company is doing well and may continue to do well in future also.

Chetan can you please help me with the argument against the future of this companies progress and what if this company cannot raise any money from the open market then where are they supposed to raise money if they need it for expansion or other such purpose....ten years is not a short period of time

Hey Nidhi thats a good question. If I am not mistaken, the company can borrow from the loan market or debt market but not from equity. So that would mean that the company will still be able to raise enough money as and when it requires from banks and other debt sources available.

besides all the speculation about future, the company has a strong hold on its segment so that is definitely not a question of concern for investors....it will stand tall even after the ban
