Promoted in joint sector by Arihant Industries and Arihant Cotsyn in collaboration with the Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation (PSIDC), Arihant Threads was incorporated as a public limited company in Feb.'92.
The company set up a ring spinning EOU of 25,200 spindles for the manufacture of cotton/cotton blended yarns at Goindwal Sahib, Punjab. The company made a public issue in Nov.'94 to part-finance the project. The project is under implementation.
Companies product has been well accepted in both Domestic & Export Markets. Company has exported its product to Israel, Malaysia, Russia & Bangladesh. Also started marketing in Hong Kong & export will start to Hong Kong Also.
During the year 1999-2000, the company has achieved turnover of Rs.4277.10 lacs out of which export turnover is Rs.2588.62 lacs and cash profit of Rs.265.83 lacs. At present 18144 spindles are in operation.
