Incorporated on 30 Dec.'92, Gran Heal Pharma was promoted by Kishore Harbada and others. The company is engaged in cultivating, processing, extracting, manufacturing and marketing a range of originally-researched and patented agro-based medicinal products in the health-care field. The products of the company are HWWS -- an innovative product which heals cuts and lacerated wounds -- while anti-asthmatic, anti-arthritic, liver tonics, anti-leucodermal and anti-diabetic medicines, etc, are also included in the range.
The company has entered into an exclusive arrangement with Lupin Laboratories for marketing HWWS. It came out with a public issue in Nov.'94 to part-finance the project cost for manufacturing herbal and homeopathic formulations. This project was delayed due to floods and the incidence of plague at Surat and nearby areas. New products have been developed for treatment of different and widely-prevalent diseases like migraine, etc. The products are expected to be launched in a phased manner. Two products, eye-fitness gel and anti-wrinkle cream have been developed for the export market.
In 1995-96, commercial operations commenced and the first product to be launched was Memofine capsules.
