Rajvebh Electronics (formerly Apel Pran Electronics) was registered as a public limited company with the object of taking up a project for the manufacture of electronic cordless telephones, jointly in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Electronic Development Corporation (APEDC). APEDC obtained the Letter of Intent from the Government of India and entered into a MOU with NRI's Apel Pran Electronics for the purpose.
As the Co-promoters of the project could not tie up foreign technical collaboration to implement the project, APEDC transfered the management and control of the company in favour of R P Atluri, another NRI.
Atluri and associates identified Oriental Precision Company, South Korea, for technical collaboration and obtained other necessary government approvals. However, Atluri and associates coult not make any progress in implementing the project due to his preoccupations in US. At this stage, APEDC, in concurrenct with Atluri, identified Bhaskar Raju for implementation of the project and transferred the management and control of the company in his favour in Jun.'92.
The company commenced commercial operations for cordless telephones in oct.'95 and for push button telephones in Jan.'96.
During 1996-97, Company is gearing to take up the assembly of PCB's for computer moniters and printers through Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Co Ltd with whom the company is tied up already who is exporting the assembled product to the Germany.
