The Company was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on 24th July, 1991, and got the certificate of commencement of business on 26 November,1991. The Company is in the assisted Sector with the Pradeshiya Industrial and investment Corporation of U.P.Ltd (PICCUP). The Company is putting up a Vanaspati Plant at a total capacity of 62.5 tons per day.
There was a delay in commencement of production as compared to that envisaged in the IFCI appraised due to (I) transfer of Company's case from one state level financial institution to another (II) Change in Means of Finance.
In 1997-98, the company entered into a marketing agreement with Hindustan Lever Ltd under their brand names on favourable terms. The Company has long term arrangement with Hindustan Lever Ltd for manuafacturing their "Dalda" brand.
In 1998-99 the company has been referred to BIFR and has been declared Sick and BIFR had appointed the IFCI as Operating Agency,
