Incorporated as a public limited company in Feb.'92, Scan Point Graphics (SPGL) was promoted by Ramesh Sojitra, Dharmendra Bavaria and others.
In Jun.'94, SPGL came out with an initial public offering of 60 lac equity shares (at par) aggregating Rs 6 cr. The amount was raised to part-finance the setting up of a colour page makeup electronic pre-press system, with major processing facilities in Ahmedabad and Bombay.
SPGL aims at catering to the pre-pressed processing needs of the advertising, publishing, printing and packaging industries.
The company also plans to diversify into digital printing technology used in the outdoor display and advertising.
