Uniport Computers, incorporated in Feb. '91, was promoted by Lan Eseda Software and its associates to manufacture and market compurter hardware, monitors, populated PCBs, Systems integration and assemblies. The end-users are all organisations, computer manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and users requiring non-standard configurations and systems according to their specifications.
The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Macroport, a computer manufacturing and marketing company, based at Silicon Valley, US, for its entire production from the very first year.
The company has identified two areas in which it will broadbase its activities. First, in the telecommunications sector (by joining hands with a reputed multinational, it will have a major presence in the market), second, in the area of software (Multi-media is the technology of the future). The company has done substantial developmental work in this area and will be looking forward to exploit this expertise in the international market.
