Sales of new cars and trucks in Australia rose a seasonally adjusted 7.6% in April from March, according to industry figures issued Thursday.
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries said in its monthly VFACTS report that 79,097 vehicles were sold in April, or 19% less than March in original terms.
The chamber said passenger vehicle sales fell 2.5% in April on year, while sales of sports utilities were up 27.9%.
