BEML is reportedly targeting South-East Asia, Africa and South America markets for supplying earth moving equipment for the mining sector.
V R S Natarajan, Chairman and Managing Director, BEML was quoted as saying "We are looking at South-east Asian countries like Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia for supplying earth moving equipment. We want our export turnover to be Rs 15bn by 2018-19."
According to reports, the company aims to clock a turnover of Rs 100bn by 2018-19. By the next financial year the company expects a turnover of Rs 50bn, which is Rs 42bn in the current fiscal.
BEML will also be investing Rs 4550mn in a new factory which would manufacture helicopters and small business jets. The company is also looking at Africa and South America, reports added.
