Indian stock markets, the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange, will remain closed for trading on Wednesday, September 19, on account of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the occasion of the birthday of Lord Ganesha. The festival lasts for 10 days during which the God is believed to bestow his presence on earth for all his devotees.
Stock markets will resume trade on Thursday, September 20.
