On a consolidated basis, net profit rose 59.3% to Rs 170.06 crore on 55.2% rise in total income to Rs 825.57 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.
Tata Global Beverages surged 8.27% to Rs 119.15, extending seven-day 19.32% advance, and was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock surged after the company early this week said it has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Starbucks Coffee Company to open Starbucks cafés across India.
