Indian Institutes of Management announced that the CAT 2012 Registration & Scheduling window will close at 11:59pm on Wednesday, 19 September 2012. Voucher sales will end on Monday, 17 September 2012. Prometric, trusted provider of market-leading test development and test delivery solutions, is IIMs’ partner in developing and delivering CAT 2012.
Registrations for CAT 2012 began on 30 July and, like previous years since its conversion to computer-based testing, candidates have been scheduling for their tests online based on their preferred choice of location, date and time.
New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune are the top cities in terms of the highest numbers of scheduled tests to date. The current registration trend also indicates a slightly higher percentage of female candidates this year. Final registration data will only be released after the close of the registration & scheduling window.
“The registration process is going well so far,” said Professor SSS Kumar, CAT 2012 Convenor. “It is encouraging to see more females coming forward this year to challenge their male counterparts in gaining admission to the IIMs.”
“Seats were filling up fast within the first four weeks of registration in a number of locations, and Prometric has been actively adding testing seats where possible in order to offer convenience to as many candidates as possible,” said Soumitra Roy, Managing Director, Prometric India.
“As we are now approaching the end of the registration window, adding more capacity will be difficult so I urge candidates to register early to avoid the last minute rush or disappointment of not getting their preferred dates or location.”
