CORE Education signs agreement with Himachal Pradesh State Government

This will help the state provide computer aided learning solutions in 1471 schools across 12 districts.

India’s leading global education company, CORE Education & Technologies Limited  has informed the stock exchange about the signing of an agreement with Himachal Pradesh State Government for implementing next-generation solutions for teaching and learning in the state. This will help the state provide computer aided learning solutions in 1471 schools across 12 districts. The total value of the project is Rs. 157.45 Crore. With this addition, CORE Education would be providing education solutions to around 12,000 schools across India.

CORE Education will provide education solutions including digital classrooms equipped with interactive white boards and multimedia content in 618 Government Senior Secondary Schools (GSSS) and 848 Government High Schools (GHS) in the state. Company will also be responsible for training 7500 teachers which will directly enhance learning outcomes in Government schools across the state.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Mansotra, Chairman & Global CEO, CORE Education & Technologies said, “The financial year 2011-12 was a landmark year and the momentum continues. We are happy on winning this contract as it marks the intent of the Government to look beyond the traditional solutions and make best practices in education a norm going forward. With this project CORE Education will take another step towards accomplishing our dream of making education more relevant, comprehensive and accessible for young students across social strata. This will prove it again that we are the preferred educational partner for Governments across the country”.
 
CORE Education has made rapid inroads in the skill development segment as well in India with an order book of over Rs. 40 crore to train over 95,000 students. Currently the company is implementing similar projects in the USA and Middle East countries apart from India. The company also continues to look out for strategic targets in skill development, assessment & intervention and school development space in USA and Middle East to complement its organic growth plan.
