Carrier, the world’s leader in high technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of a controlling stake in Sauter Race Technologies. Carrier, a part of UTC Climate, Control & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp, previously announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Sauter Race Technologies on Dec. 2, 2011. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
This acquisition of Sauter Race Technologies reinforces Carrier’s position in the integrated building management segments, providing customers with more comprehensive end-to-end building management systems in India, including controls, and fire and security solutions. This acquisition also strengthens the new UTC Climate, Controls & Security organization, which combines Carrier and UTC Fire & Security to provide customers with advanced commercial and technical solutions that lead to safer, high performance buildings.
