Coal India is planning to hike price of coal supplied by Western Coalfields, according to reports.
Reports stated that the Cost of power generation by NTPC's Farakka and Kahalgaon units may also rise as the coal monopoly is considering a hike in prices from its Rajmahal mines under Eastern Coalfields.

CIL chairman S Narsing Rao also reportedly said that they will take a final decision at the board meeting to be held later this month.
