Coffee production in India is reportedly said to drop as much as 10% in the season beginning Oct. 1 as inadequate rain in some regions reduces yields.
Ramesh Rajah, president of the Coffee Exporters Association of India, was quoted as saying that “Initial indications are that it will be about 5-to-10 percent lower than last year."
The output this season was about 300,000 metric tons, he said.
