Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 38.16 points or 0.21% to 17,745.05
On BSE, 15.32 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 2.85 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 120.80 and low of Rs 118.20 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 175 on 19 October 2011. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 102.40 on 28 May 2012.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 24 August 2012, rising 1.82% compared with the Sensex's 5.11% rise. The scrip also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 10.82% as against Sensex's gain of 9.62%.
The mid-cap power equipment maker has an equity capital of Rs 128.30 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
Crompton Greaves' consolidated net profit rose 8.1% to Rs 85.90 crore on 15.3% growth in net sales to Rs 2811.14 crore in Q1 June 2012 over Q1 June 2011.
