The Educomp Solutions stock has rallied 23.68% in five trading sessions from Rs 137.05 on 19 June 2012, after the company, before market hours on 20 June 2012, said that it tied up funding worth $155 million to pay off existing foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCB) on due date.
Educomp Solutions said that out of the mentioned amount of $155 million, $111 million is proposed to be utilised in redemption of existing FCCBs (principal of $78.50 million and balance as redemption premium) and the balance amount would be utilised towards capital expenditure and strengthening the balance sheet of the company. The components of the financing package are expected to close simultaneously before the FCCB redemption date, the company said in a statement.
