Final govt decision on BlackBerry on Aug 30: report

Indian security and telecom agencies will hold "technical" meetings with RIM on Thursday and Friday for a solution.

The final decision whether to block some BlackBerry services over which India has apprehensions is expected to come by August 30.

 

According to reports, Indian security and telecom agencies will hold "technical" meetings with RIM on Thursday and Friday for a solution.

 

Research in Motion (RIM), maker of Blackberry had earlier been given August 31 as the deadline by the Indian government to come clean with encryption details for its corporate email and instant messaging or face a ban on the two widely-used smartphone services.
