Venus Remedies has been granted another product patent by Intellectual Properly Office (IPO), Government of India for Sulbactomax, out of its patent basket of 341 patents filed globally. Sulbactomax is a fixed dose combination of a beta lactam antibiotic ceftriaxorte sodium and a beta lactamase inhibitor Sulbactam Sodium in dry powder form for injection to be used after reconstitution with a super solvent. The product is used for combating betalactamase mediated antibiotic resistance of existing ceftriaxone molecule with the aid of betalactamase inhibitor.
