GIBM 2012 to bring together Business Leaders,Investors

The global exposure, expertise and experience of the new global Indians will certainly add tremendous value to their Indian brothers and sisters in creating a new resurgent India to the world.

The Global Indian Business Meet 2012 (GIBM 2012), a first-time-ever full-fledged business platform of the Indian Diaspora, is being organized to bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, knowledge experts and investors of Indian origin from around the world.Pranab Mukherjee, Honourable President Of India, will be addressing (via video link) the GIBM2012, which is scheduled from Sept. 20 to 23, 2012 at Marriott Marquis Hotel, Manhattan, New York. GIBM 2012 will see participation of many Presidents, CEOs and MDs along with various leaders from state and federal governments in India, USA and several other countries.


Organized by New Global Indian (NGI) Foundation with the support and participation of many trade bodies and associations. This event is partnered by Incredible India, Fidelis World, Q-Net, Max Health, Nano Holdings, AUSIB, FICCI, PHD Chamber, NASSCOM, AAPI, IBPC Dubai among others. GIBM 2012 has a theme of “Doing Business in Challenging Times - the Indian Way: Global Networking for Entrepreneurship and Inclusive Growth.” At GIBM 2012, ten eminent Indian origin achievers from different countries and seven top-line business, entertainment, ecology and professional leaders from India shall also be awarded: the diaspora achievers with NGI Excellence Awards and achievers from India with Swami Vivekananda Leadership awards.

Global Indian Business Meet 2012 is focussing on five areas:


Business Leaders’ Summit: Focussing on the Indian growth story and how Indian origin CEOs, from around the world have faced global economic slowdown, and what recovery and growth strategies were adopted in different sectors.


Entrepreneurship Summit: Focussing on the success stories of Indian origin entrepreneurs in various sectors, from within India in post liberalization period (1991-2012) and globally as well.


Investment Summit: Focussing on the domains/ sunrise industries/ sectors of businesses led by Indians from around the globe, interaction with venture capitalists, angel investors, bankers, and institutional financiers today, for funding and investments.


India Business Summit: Where Chief Ministers and/or other Ministers of several leading states of India will present the cases of their provinces as preferred destinations for investment, their policies and incentives, their focus areas/sectors, etc.


Partnership Summit: This is intended to explore and allow for Country, State and City level partnerships from around the world.
