India Infoline News Service/ 16:51 , Sep 25, 2012

This new program will explore advanced management and governance systems focusing on the complex and diverse challenges

Harvard Business School (HBS) announces Leadership andCorporate Accountability—India (LCAI), a new program scheduled from November 19-22, 2012 at the HBS style classroom at Taj Lands End, Mumbai as part of its Executive Education program portfolio for India.

Leadership and Corporate Accountability – India is an interdisciplinary program which will examine the dynamic and ever-evolving role of accountability in 21st century Indian corporations. Led by renowned Prof. Rohit Deshpandé, who helped design and teach the required MBA course on this topic at Harvard Business School, the program will provide business leaders with a hands-on framework for promoting socially and financially responsible corporate conduct, in an Indian environment of heightened competition and accountability.

Rohit Deshpandé, Faculty Chair of Leadership and Corporate Accountability – India said,“The Leadership and Corporate Accountability – India program emerged as a response to the internal and external governance challenges facing business leaders globally. The program will prepare participants for leadership in a changing global society filled with competing claims from multiple stakeholders (stockholders, employees, customers, governments). They will return with an understanding of the values, incentives, and risk management systems they need to put in place to guide their organization through these kinds of complex challenges.”

This new program will explore advanced management and governance systems focusing on the complex and diverse challenges with conflicting demands that confront businesses in India as well as other topics integral to leadership including crisis management, social responsibility, executive compensation, and corporate governance.

As with all HBS Executive Education programs, all programs in the India portfolio will be taught by members of the School’s own full-time faculty using the renowned HBS case method in a newly opened, state-of-the-art  multimedia case study classroom at Taj Land’s End Hotel. An elite group of global executives will enjoy an interactive experience that extends the learning process through personal and professional networks long after the conclusion of the program.
