Hero Honda Motors Ltd. on Thursday said that its total two-wheeler sales in June rose by 16.6% to 426,454 units as compared to 365,734 units sold in the corresponding month last year. This was the 18th consecutive time the company has recorded sales of over 3 lakh units in a single month.
For the April-June quarter, the company's sales increased 10.28% to 12,34,039 units from 11,18,987 units sold in the year-ago period.
Growth in June was attained on the back of the high base effect last year, said Anil Dua, senior vice-president for marketing. "Growth is coming across all segments including our scooter Pleasure which is now contributing over 25,000 units every month to the overall volume," Dua added.
