IFIM Business School, Bangalore and ESC Rennes School of Business, France have collaborated to facilitate educational and academic exchanges between the two academic institutions. The establishments will now promote mutually beneficial activities in the areas of education, research and other academic subjects, for the common goal of internationalization of higher education.

The first programme saw a batch of 26 PGDM students from IFIM visiting ESC Rennes School of Business for the International Study Programme. The students undertook a 7-day course - CSR in the International Scenario, which comprised 15 hours of classroom interaction supplemented by Industry Visits. Apart from the exchange programme the students can also take the Summer programme, Collaborative virtual students projects and Executive Education programmes.

Speaking about the exchange programme, Dr. Madhumita Chatterji, Professor and Dean- Student Life Cycle, who accompanied the batch of students to ESCR, said, "At IFIM we believe in giving our students as much international exposure as possible. Academic Exchange Programmes provide exposure of industries and organizations on an international platform and transform students into global professionals. IFIM students will now be able to participate in one of the international master's programmes at ESCR while their students will benefit from the pedagogy at IFIM."

Satrupa, student of PGDM-IB (International Business Programme), IFIM who took part in the  International Study Programme at ESCR said, "The course helped us in understanding the International scenario and broadened our outlook towards the subject. We learnt a lot about CSR practices in different countries which has given us a global perspective and exposed us to a different way of learning. Apart from the classroom discussions we also went to Concale Oyster Breeding and Processing company for an industry visit. In addition to our classroom learning, our visit also facilitated interaction with students all over the world and gave us a glimpse of different cultures"
