The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has launched a website — http://www.policyholder.gov.in/ — for consumer education. The website would provide information on IRDA, buying insurance, making claim, consumer complaints, etc.
The website also has a section called 'Handbook' from where one can download e-books on life, health, property, travel and intermediaries. These e-books are available in English, Hindi, Oriya, Kannada, Punjabi, Urdu, Marathi and Telugu languages.
To give feedback on the website or any opinion, consumers can select the ‘Contact Us’ option or send a mail at consumerfeedback@irda.gov.in
