India'>Maruti Suzuki India operations reportedly unaffected by Swift’s recall of over 1 lakh compact cars.
According to reports, Suzuki Motor Corp (SMC) announced recalling about 1,09,000 units of hatchback Swift worldwide to repair a defect that may cause petrol leakage and four such cases have been reported in Japan, but they did not lead to any accidents.
The cars to be recalled were produced between September, 2010 and April, 2012, reports stated.
The total recalls, 55,146 units were sold in the domestic market and 53,801 units were exported to various countries such as Australia, Mexico and European nations, reports added.
