Indian carriers seek nod to fly to 11 new international routes

The Minister further informed that out of these approval for operations has been granted for summer 2012 for following two sectors viz. Delhi-Guangzhou and Mumbai-Dar-es-Salaam.

Ajit Singh, the Minister of Civil Aviation informed Rajya Sabha in a written reply that Ministry of Civil Aviation has received requests from Indian carriers including Air India for operation on 11 new international sectors under the bilateral Air Services Agreements (ASAs).

The Minister further informed that out of these approval for operations has been granted for summer 2012 for following two sectors viz. Delhi-Guangzhou and Mumbai-Dar-es-Salaam. The remaining nine will commence operations in the winter schedule of 2012 once approved by the respective foreign authorities.
