The spot jeera price were trading in the range of Rs 13,000-14,000 per quintal (Rs 13,000-14,250 per quintal as on 9th February 2012) at Unjha Mandi. Best quality was trading in the range of Rs 14,500-16,000 per quintal (Rs 14,500-16,250 per quintal as on 9th February 2012). The total arrivals stood steady at 3,000 bags. While demand was seen for around 8,000 bags.
The NCDEX Jeera February contract moved in the range of Rs 14,260-14,598 and is currently trading lower at Rs 14,314 per quintal, down by Rs 173 or 1.19% per quintal.
