The management of Lakshmi Vilas Bank announced that the bank has opted for direct listing on BSE Ltd. The bell ringing ceremony at BSE Ltd. was attended by K R Pradeep, Member of Board of Directors, Lakshmi Vilas Bank; P R Somasundaram, MD & CEO, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, other Honorary Board members and several clients of Lakshmi Vilas Bank.
The direct listing will help the Lakshmi Vilas Bank to enhance its liquidity of shares and also reach out to investors through over 13,300 trading terminals spread across 295 cities in India. The listing will also assist the investors to get additional forum to purchase or sell the shares of Lakshmi Vilas Bank.
Speaking on the occasion P.R. Somasundaram, MD & CEO, Lakshmi Vilas Bank said, “The Bank decided to shift from ‘Permitted Category’ to direct listing as it will give visibility to the Bank’s scrip through BSE website. BSE is ranked 5th by the world federation of Exchanges in terms of handling of transactions through its electronic trading system and the benchmark index Sensex is the most widely followed parameter of the Indian Economy, so it certainly is a place to have your shares listed.”
