Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC) and L&T Infotech has signed an agreement under which L&T Infotech will implement an end-to-end integrated fully functional, secure, bilingual (Arabic / English) enterprise solution for metering, billing, account receivables, Customer Relationship Management and financial management systems. This will automate and integrate business processes, embed transaction-processing controls and provide appropriate reports to facilitate decision-making and smooth functioning of SEC.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Ali S Al Barrak, Chief Executive Officer, on behalf of SEC; and by Mr. Makarand Deolalkar, Executive Vice President and Global Head, Energy & Utilities, on behalf of L&T Infotech.
SEC’s operations span the entire Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the company is committed to providing its customers with safe, reliable electricity services. SEC aims to establish interconnected electric grids throughout the Kingdom to keep pace with the growing demand for electric power. Moreover, it has ambitious plans to participate in electric power generation, transmission, and distribution projects in the international markets.

L&T Infotech’s proposed solution caters to SEC’s requirement of fully bilingual integrated solution which includes display, dual calendar, currency symbol, data entry, online help, etc. The implementation of this solution will cover the Head Office as well as the Eastern, Central, Western and Southern Operating Areas.
