In its constant endeavor to provide quality education and improve organizational learning of the students, LPU brings in another massive project in the campus.

The largest university in India (in terms of no. of students under one campus) has opened up a Student Centre known as Uni-Mall for the students. The cosmopolitan style constructed, multi-storied built, air-conditioned building is the first shopping mall ever opened by any university in India.

The Student Centre (Uni-Mall) is a ground-breaking step by the University to nurture the entrepreneurial talents of its budding professionals. The first of its kind project has a two-fold objective. Firstly it will act as start-up incubation centre and secondly a one stop hub for all daily requirements and amusement for the students. The Student Centre (Uni-Mall) has close to 70 shops and most of the shops will be run and managed by the students.

The eight storey mall will have all the shops and facilities to fulfill the needs of the students including a network of Banks, Food Courts, Branded shops in Books, Stationary items, Gift shops, Apparels, Lifestyle Accessories, Electronic Gadgets (mobiles, computers, laptop, etc.), Optical, Photo studio, Sports Goods, Music and Entertainment, Gymnasium, Beauty Parlour, Salon, Gifts, Boutique and other related service areas. One of the major highlights is the Food Court which will have a chain of big food outlets in the first university mall. LPU is infact the foremost university to get all-vegetarian outlet from Subway & Dominos Pizza in India. Other popular eating joints include Sagar Ratna, Dosa Plaza, etc. Hence the students would not need to go anywhere out of the campus as everything from the daily purpose to the slightest essential stuff would be available at their doorstep.   
 
Commenting on the new development, Ashok Mittal, Chancellor of LPU said, “We are delighted to create another benchmark which is enterprising and progressive for our students. LPU has always believed in taking that one step forward and introduce unique and engaging techniques to train our students effectively at all times.”
 
Mittal further added, “The Uni-Mall will act as a training ground as well as a mini retail incubator where students can get live, hands on experience in business and will earn for the time they are here to learn. This will equally provide the once in a lifetime opportunity for the students to test their ideas in the controlled market. LPU is encouraging its students to try their ideas in the Uni-Mall where they can get exposure of 30,000 audiences to experiment and check their risk appetite before plunging to the competitive world outside the university.”
 
Infact, the students of LPU from the MBA department have already started running a big departmental store- LPU Wanna Buy store in the Uni-Mall where 500 items are sold under one roof. Another interesting initiative by the students is a service called- - Just Dial a Student’s number through which the students can get the products, food etc. delivered to their rooms.

Some of the other key brands that will be present in the Uni-Mall include HP World, Archies Gallery, State Bank of India (SBI), State Bank of Patiala (SBP), Forex Exchange, etc.
