Macquarie, has bought auto leases and loans worth A$2bn in the past seven months, including from Ford Credit Australia

Australia's Macquarie Group has reportedly bought a A$1bn portfolio of car leases and loans from GMAC Australia, unit of GMAC Inc, for an undisclosed sum. Macquarie, which has bought auto leases and loans worth A$2bn in the past seven months, including from Ford Credit Australia, said the acquisition gives it a portfolio of 60,000 cars.
