Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) – ‘Green Homes Rating System’ is a rating programme for India’s residential projects. The various rating levels of green certifications are evaluated on the basis of strategic project planning, percentage of water conservation, energy efficiency, raw materials and resources used during construction and indoor environmental quality. The rating is an indication of the eco-friendliness of a project and answers a crying need of the construction industry.
