McNally Bharat Engineering Company Ltd., one of the leading providers of turnkey solutions in the power, steel, mining, material handling, coal, non ferrous metals and ports sector, has been awarded a project worth Rs1.73bn for coal handling plant with silo loading arrangement at Bharatpur siding of Mahanadi Coalfields in Sambalpur, Orissa.
This is the 3rd order that McNally Bharat has bagged within a week, the first two being from NPCC and SAIL. It was awarded a project worth Rs2.45bn from Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) for Material handling Plants to handle Coal, Coke, Sinter & Iron ore fines and another order for a project worth Rs. 24.38 crore for construction work in Tripura, near the Indo-Bangladesh border by National Projects Construction Corporation NPCC last week.

The scope of work involves designing, engineering, equipment supply, civil work, structural work, erection and commissioning of the Plant. Major equipment to be supplied includes a 2.2 km belt conveyor, 4 Nos 3,600 TPH Paddle Feeders, Overground bunker of capacity 15,000 tons, 2 Nos 4000 tons silos with 5,500 TPH Rapid Loading System. The project has to be completed in 24 months.
