Mutual funds (MFs) sold shares worth Rs 233.60 crore on Thursday, 3 May 2012, higher than outflow of Rs 63 crore on Wednesday, 2 May 2012.
The net outflow of Rs 233.60 crore on Thursday, 3 May 2012 was a result of gross purchases Rs 351 crore and gross sales Rs 584.60 crore. The BSE Sensex had shed 150.72 points or 0.87% to settle at 17,151.19 on that day, its lowest closing level since 27 April 2012.
Mutual funds have sold shares worth Rs 539 crore in April 2012. They had offloaded shares worth Rs 1549.30 crore in March 2012.
