Mutual funds (MFs) sold shares worth net Rs 462.50 crore on Monday, 8 October 2012, much higher than outflow of Rs 19.90 crore on Friday, 5 October 2012.
The net outflow of Rs 462.50 crore on Monday, 8 October 2012 was a result of gross purchases Rs 350.90 crore and gross sales Rs 813.40 crore. The BSE Sensex had shed 229.48 points or 1.21% to settle at 18,708.98 on that day, its lowest closing level since 27 September 2012.
Mutual funds have sold shares worth net Rs 1217.40 crore in October 2012 so far (till 8 October 2012).
