Atul Limited has informed the Exchange vide letter dated October 11, 2012 that some old pipelines installed at the Atul (Valsad) site many years back for carrying effluents have to be dismantled now. Gujarat Pollution Control Board has sent a Notice directing the Company to take the remedial measures and meanwhile shutdown manufacturing operations at the Site. The Company is working in a determined way to achieve the mandate; however currently manufacturing operations at the site are shutdown. The Company is hopeful of resuming operations at the affected site early and will immediately inform the Stock Exchange once that happens.
