According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals in Kochi Mandi decreased to 20 quintals on Friday as on 10th February 2012 from 125 quintals, meanwhile offtakes slumped to 60 quintals from 515 quintals as on Thursday.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Friday's trading session with negative note at Rs 31,100, down by Rs 200 and Un-Garbled pepper ended at Rs 29,600 per 100 kg, down by Rs 200 over last close.
The NCDEX February contract ended the session lower at Rs 29,230, down by Rs 540 or by 1.81% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 29,115-30,295 per quintal.
