A bulk deal of 2.06 lakh shares was executed on the Persistent Systems counter at Rs 305 per share in opening trade on the BSE.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was 25.73 down points, or 0.15%, to 17,558.24
On BSE, 6.65 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 1,801 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 341.40 and a low of Rs 305 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 429.70 on 13 April 2011 and a record low of Rs 280.80 on 29 August 2011.
The mid-cap software firm has an equity capital of Rs 40 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
