Polaris Software hardens on overseas order

Polaris Software Lab rose 0.49% to Rs 183.80 at 9:55 IST on BSE, after the company secured a contract for one of its software products.

The company announced the overseas order win before market hours today, 24 December 2009.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 84.19 points, or 0.49%, to 17,315.30.

On BSE, 3,231 shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 5.28 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 183.80 and a low of Rs 183 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 192.40 on 3 December 2009 and a lifetime low of Rs 26.30 on 13 January 2009.

The mid-cap stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 23 December 2009, rising 9.03% as compared to the Sensex's 0.30% rise. It had also outperformed the market in the past one quarter, gaining 25.10% as compared to the Sensex's return of 3.06%.

The company's equity capital is Rs 49.43 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.

The current price of Rs 183.80 discounts the company's Q2 September 2009 annualized EPS of Rs 11.18, by a PE multiple of 16.44.

Oman-based Bank Sohar has selected Polaris' Intellect GUB Debt Management Solution, a comprehensive debt receivables management product, to have a control on its receivables and also to minimize delinquent accounts.

Polaris' Intellect GUB Debt Management Solution, also known as 'Intellect Collect' is a comprehensive debt collections system that enables banks to design strategies to collect outstanding from their customers and effectively control the rising tide of delinquencies.

Polaris Software Lab's net profit rose 20.53% to Rs 27.59 crore on 5.79 increase in net sales to Rs 286.44 crore in Q2 September 2009 over Q1 June 2009.

Polaris Software Lab delivers customized software solutions and products in the domain of banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI).
