The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 8 February 2012, surging 7.97% compared with the Sensex's return of 11.73%. The stock had, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 3.86% as against Sensex's rise of 0.78%.

Power Grid Corporation's board of directors, at a meeting held on Wednesday, 8 February 2012, recommended an interim dividend of Rs 0.80 per share for the year ending March 2012. The company has fixed 14 February 2012 as record date for the payment of interim dividend.
