Welspun India reported net profit of Rs 42.42 crore in the quarter ended March 2012 as against net loss of Rs 156.34 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2011. Sales rose 63.39% to Rs 693.85 crore in the quarter ended March 2012 as against Rs 424.65 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2011.

For the unaudited full year, net profit reported to Rs 121.45 crore in the year ended March 2012 as against net loss of Rs 99.78 crore during the previous year ended March 2011. Sales rose 32.22% to Rs 2371.73 crore in the year ended March 2012 as against Rs 1793.73 crore during the previous year ended March 2011.
