Orissa Sponge Iron & Steel reported net loss of Rs 18.38 crore in the quarter ended March 2012 as against net loss of Rs 21.83 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2011. Sales rose 1.37% to Rs 35.40 crore in the quarter ended March 2012 as against Rs 34.92 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2011.

For the unaudited full year, net loss reported to Rs 72.27 crore in the year ended March 2012 as against net loss of Rs 52.86 crore during the previous year ended March 2011. Sales declined 28.92% to Rs 94.55 crore in the year ended March 2012 as against Rs 133.01 crore during the previous year ended March 2011.
