The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote greater co-operation and sharing of supervisory information between the two regulators.
The MoU was signed by P Vijaya Bhaskar, Executive Director, RBI, and Khalid Hammad Rahman, Executive Director, CBB.
The CBB is responsible for regulation and supervision of banking and other financial institutions taking public deposits, issuing loans, arranging settlement of accounts and engaging in other business in Bahrain and in accordance with Bahraini legislation.
