Reliance Communications launches 'Netconnect Plus’ in Belgaum and Hubli

Netconnect Plus has a downlink speed of upto 3.1 Mbps and a uplink speed of upto 1.8 Mbps, offering the fastest speeds in wireless broadband

In a significant move towards the mission of spreading the usage of wireless internet to the masses across the country, Reliance Communications announced the launch of its high speed wireless internet service, “Netconnect  Plus’’ in Belgaum and Hubli. Popular Kannada actress Pooja Gandhi has launched the service in the city.

 

Netconnect Plus has a downlink speed of upto 3.1 Mbps and a uplink speed of upto 1.8 Mbps, offering the fastest speeds in wireless broadband. This makes Netconnect Plus best suited for video streaming, video surveillance, rich media content & superior Internet browsing.

 

Reliance is embarking on the largest and most aggressive roll-out of broadband internet service in India, with coverage extending to more than 150 towns.

 

Announcing the launch in Belgaum and Hubli, Swaminathan Hub Head Karnataka, Reliance Communications said, “The launch of Netconnect Plus is an important milestone for Reliance and will act as a catalyst in the government’s effort to drive broadband penetration in India. Reliance Netconnect Plus will significantly enhance the broadband coverage in India and make broadband Internet available to customers in many areas and localities that have been waiting for years to be broadband enabled”.

 

The wireless Net connect service will ride on Reliance Communication’s extensive pan-India, next generation and integrated, convergent digital network spanning over 175,000 kilometres of fibre optic cable syste. This network is capable of supporting best-of-class services spanning the entire communications value chain.
