Sameer Savkur has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Biogen Idec Biotech India Pvt Ltd. Savkur will take over from Dr Alpna Seth who was recently appointed Vice President, Program Leadership and Management at Biogen Idec’s headquarters in the United States (US).
Savkur joins Biogen Idec in India with more than 20 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry in Asia and US. Prior to joining Biogen Idec, he was the Managing Director of IMS Health Information and Consulting Services India Pvt. Ltd. Savkur has also held various senior positions at pharmaceutical companies, including Eli Lilly and Company. He also worked with Pfizer and Wipro in various capacities early in his career.
