Singapore Airlines disappointed with South Korean Fair Trade Commission decision:report

India Infoline News Service / 14:35 , May 31, 2010

The report stated that the company was among several major airlines that were facing fines, after South Korean authorities accused them of conspiring to introduce fuel charges for freight cargoes or continued to raise them over the past seven years.

Singapore Airlines Cargo has reportedly said that they are disappointed with the decision by the South Korean Fair Trade Commission in a case involving alleged unfair air cargo practices.

The report stated that the company was among several major airlines that were facing fines, after South Korean authorities accused them of conspiring to introduce fuel charges for freight cargoes or continued to raise them over the past seven years.

Singapore Airlines Cargo has not received the commission's full reasoning, which it will study closely "with a serious view towards mounting an appeal".

The Fair Trade Commission had imposed fines on 19 airlines and warned two others for unfair trading practices, report adds.
