Sintex Industries spurted 7.85% to Rs 92.05 and topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The stock outperformed the market over the past one month till 1 February 2012, rising 35.69% compared with the Sensex's return of 11.94%. The stock, however, underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 27.49% as against Sensex's decline of 1.03%.
Engineers India surged 7.15% to Rs 254.70 and was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company declares its Q3 results on 13 February 2012.
Bharti Airtel advanced 6.88% to Rs 385.95 and was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The Supreme Court today, 2 February 2012 ordered the Department of Telecommunications to cancel all the 122 mobile telecom services licenses it allotted after January 2008. Meanwhile, within two months the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) will recommend fresh guidelines on the grant of new licences. The government will make its decision after one month after submission of the recommendations.
Andhra Bank gained 6.52% to Rs 108.60 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. During market hours today, 2 February 2012, the bank reported 8.4% fall in net profit to Rs 303.17 crore on 36.1% rise in total income to Rs 3158.26 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.
Educomp Solutions rose 6.35% to Rs 234.35 and was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company declares its Q3 results on 14 February 2012.
