According to the latest updates from India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA), Kochi, Pepper arrivals in Kochi Mandi decreased to 150 quintals on Wednesday on 11th July 2012 from 650 quintals, meanwhile offtakes slumped to 150 quintals from 700 quintals as on Tuesday.
Black Pepper for ready delivery in Kochi, closed Wednesday's trading session on negative note with MG-1 at Rs 41,100, down by Rs 100 and Un-Garbled pepper at Rs 39,600, down by Rs 100 per 100 kg.
The NCDEX Pepper August contract ended the session higher at Rs 42,815, up by Rs 45 or 0.11% over the last close. The contract traded in the range of Rs 42,625-43,165 per quintal.
